This book is absolutely charming--as charming as Rey's Curious George books are. Using the same star configurations, Rey re-draws the constellations so that they actually look like what their names indicate they should. This really appeals to the Amelia Bedelia part of me.
I remember one image of the constellations drawn on the inside of an umbrella tilted on its side, with the viewer looking from the umbrella handle toward the "sky".
It is a book that is geared toward older children (9-12) and so it does get somewhat sophisticated in its details.
