Hunting Ground (Alpha and Omega Novels) by Patricia Briggs
Hunting Ground (Alpha and Omega Novels)

frabjousarcher, January 20, 2012

Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite books. I only picked it up this year though it has been around since 2009. This book has a very hopeful feeling about it. Anna explores her bond with Charles and they both learn important things about the person they are mated to. There is danger, as there always is in a Briggs novel, but true love does triumph in the end! The plot is engrossing and keeps you yearning for more, but what I really loved were the scenes with Anna and Charles discovering new things about each other, falling more in love with each other, learning that because this person is here, it is okay to be who they are, even if they don't like it themselves, because their other half does. This is the hopeful part, that though you may think you are a monster or in some way not good enough for the person you're connected to, as long as they see you for who you are and still love you you can overcome anything. A truly joyful and encouraging theme. I enjoyed "seeing" Moira and Tom as well from "Seeing Eye" in this book, I hope I can read more about them in future books in the Alpha and Omega Series that Patricia Briggs writes so well. I am looking forward to "Fair Game" coming out in March of this year.
