Great book. I've been using the various editions for years and have had a great time doing most of the trips in them. None of them are whitewater, there are other books for that. Some of the trips have fast water with riffles. Pass on these in winter if the rivers are in flood stage. Some trips on the Columbia can be challenging if the wind and waves are up. Happy paddling!
This is a very good book with fifty paddle trips in western Washington state. It has nothing to do with gay/lesbian poetry as claimed under the publishers comments here (unless that gets corrected). Some of the trips are easy class 2 whitewater but most are less than whitewater. All of the trips are on rivers and many require a shuttle.
