Flushed: How the Plumber Saved Civilization by W. Hodding Carter
Flushed: How the Plumber Saved Civilization

garganimus, June 15, 2006

Thank you Hodding Carter! As far as I know, me and my fellow plumbers have never been heralded in such a manner. That's not to say my customers are not very grateful and I am well-compensated but no one has ever made such a big deal about our contributions to civilization, as such. This book (which was a birthday present) was pretty funny in parts but I was more interested in the history of my trade and its future. Flushed did not disappoint in that regard, either. An enjoyable read, whether you are a plumber or not.
