Among all the books on the craft of writing, this book has some of my all-time favorite essays. They cover a wide range of issues from choosing a point of view (Russo's "In Defense of Omniscience") to how to get unstuck when working on a story ("Narrative Spandrels"). They are so incisive and insightful, so packed with "oh yes!" moments that I cannot stop from taking notes every time I pick it up.
