The book gives an excellent introduction to the Xen Hypervisor. It gets the reader started on looking into the internals of Xen.
The other books available on Xen are usually about how to administer or manage Xen. They usually don't go into how Xen actually works.Although that isn't helpful or of value by itself. This books is different 'cause it lets you peer under the hood.
The reason I give the book a '4' rather than a '5' is that it is already about 3 years old (as of 2010). Xen is dynamic, and has moved considerably forward. (Unfortunately books on dynamic technologies, such as Xen, are obsolete before they hit the shelves. But still, learning about the fundamental mechanisms helps one to understand the latest developments -- or else it's like cooking in the dark.)
I request David to update this book for the sake of the readers who want to learn about Xen.
