The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty
The Chaperone

From a synopsis I had read, I thought this book was going to be a fictional biography of Louise Brooks. It is that to some extent but is also so much more - a novel where some characters deal with 21st century issues - but in the 1920s and 30s - in a very realistic way.

Enjoyable and entertaining.
