The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (The Millennium Trilogy #1) by Stieg Larsson
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (The Millennium Trilogy #1)

Being a fantasy fan I usually don't really like books like this. I always found thrillers and detectives a rather boring reading. But my Mom presented me with this book on my birthday, and started to read it before me, and liked it very much. So I decided to start reading it too.

How surprised I was when realised that I can't stop reading it! I finished all three books of this series in a week. I was very impressed. The plot looks so realistic and characters so real and alive.

This book is so different from evrything that I read, but it's really awesome.

The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicles #1) by Patrick Rothfuss
The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicles #1)

It's so rarely nowadays to see a really well-written fantasy book. So I was really pleased to find Patrick Rothfuss's "The Name of the Wind". It was a very fascinating reading, really. I heard that the author spent a lot of years to write this book, and those years certainly weren't a waste. The characters, the plot, the whole world of this book is great, interesting and well-balanced. It's that kind of book which you won't be able to stop reading if you'll start.

Nightrunner #01: Luck in the Shadows: The Nightrunner Series, Book I by Lynn Flewelling
Nightrunner #01: Luck in the Shadows: The Nightrunner Series, Book I

Honestly, I found this book by accident, when I was looking for something interesting to readon my friend's bookshelf. I choose this book out of curiousity, and was lost in the first pages. Lynn Flewelling writes almost perfectly. I couldn't stop reading untill the end. I don't remember being so taken by the book for a long time already. The plot, characters, the world - everything was so wonderful, that I couldn't stop from reading the whole series.
And I shall say, that one of the protagonist of this book (and the whoke series) - Seregil - immediatly became one of my favorite characters ever)

Glimpses by Lynn Flewelling

hakushaku13, November 23, 2012

A great collection of short stories, written by Lynn Flewelling. This book includes stories from the past of Nightrunner's characters. First meeting of Micum and Seregil, or the meeting of Alec's parents for example. All the stories are very interesting for the fans of Nightrunner books, because them can get a lot of interesting facts about their favorite character's life - those facts which were mentioned but never actually told in the series.

Casket of Souls by Lynn Flewelling
Casket of Souls

hakushaku13, November 23, 2012

"Casket of Souls" is the six book of Nightrunner series written by awesome Lynn Flewelling. This book is my second favorite book from the whole series (I also like the 3rd book "Traitor's Moon" a lot). The plot is as great as always, and the author took the character's relationships on a completely new level. An interesting story, realistic characters and, of course, a wonderful mix of seriousness and and humor will make you enjoy this book from the first page till the last.
