Borderline sociopath, Johannes Cabal, bashes his way through the English countryside trying to collect souls. A perfect Faustian tale that will lead you through a carnival of hilarity and darkness. Moving, morbid and clever, Johannes Cabal the Necromancer will not disappoint you and leave you breathless.

This was a perfect novel. I have never read anything where I could feel the love (mainly between Oskar and his grandmother) radiating from the pages. It was that pure and sweet. The quirky voice of Oskar dictating his thoughts as he tries to navigate his world, will stick with me forever. Perfect.
Gruesome, haunting, and absolutely incapable of being put down. I thought for sure that this was going to be too intense to read and then, without noticing, I was more than halfway through. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, which leads me to believe that The Devil All the Time is going to be an important piece of American literature.
I want to rate this both a "1" and a "5".

All things we know we shouldn't enjoy, after all we are adults of moderate intelligence and yet we can stop ourselves. It is like crack, worse than that, it is Jersey Shore crack.
The characters are predictable, the plot is transparent and I literally bought the "Two For The Dough" before I had closed the first book.
I can't explain it in any rational terms. These books are a guilty pleasure. People say you can read them out of order but I say you have to start with "One For The Money". Do yourself a favor, buy the book, laugh out loud, get caught up and become an addict. All the cool kids are doing it.
