My compliments and thanks to Ms. Raddatz for not only giving a vivid portrayal of combat in Iraq, but also the bravery of the families of those serving. I was the Platoon Leader for 1st Platoon, C Company 2/5 Cav in Vietnam in 1971-1972. It was the same Platoon in which SGT Chen was KIA in the firefight chronicled in "The Long Road Home." This book meant more to me than you can ever know.
