Because I was grieving for a lost love, I hesitated to read this book, but encouraged by a friend, I opened the first page, and the story captured me immediately. I needed a story that would not only help my heart to heal, but also remind me that there are so many lovely kinds of love in this world for all of us. The primary love relationship in Hyde's story develops when a small boy finds himself without a parent, and his neighbor, 25 year old Mitch, helps to care for him. What ensues from there is a quirky, poignant, and sweet story of love...not ideal love, but real love that heals both of their hearts. And helped to heal mine as well.
