Not only does this book tell you how to make things top down (advantages: seamless, easy to check for fit, flexibility of design), it has the best photos of paired increases and decreases I have ever seen. Even some of the truly horrible creations shown are useful in stimulating one's own creativity. I lost my first copy, and find it indispensable.
