Wanting more than boring, regular sex, I was given "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns" by a man that was to become my Dom. Ignorant about what BDSM really was and the terminology, he felt the book would answer many of my questions. He was right. After reading the book I felt certain that my choice in a Dom was the correct one.
The authors say never to have a D/s relationship with someone that refuses to use "safe words" and they are right. To their advice I add, never seek a Dom without first reading the book from cover to cover. A perfect starter for anyone entering the arena of non-vanilla romance and sex.
