The world of Trylle is absolutely amazing! I requested this book first, for the beautiful cover, and second, because of the excerpt I read about it. I wasn’t aware that this book would actually be about trolls, but that made it even more fascinating. I fell in love with the characters, especially Wendy and Finn.
This book was very fast-paced and it was very difficult for me to put it down. I read it in two sittings over the course of two days. I’m very excited about the second book, Torn, as well as the third book, Ascend.

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
A Discovery of Witches

I believe that the title to this book is a little deceiving. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but it wasn't exactly what I thought that it was going to be about. I was taken aback by the fact that there were vampires in this novel and sadly it was a little similar to that of the Twilight series. However, I very much enjoyed the story. Harkness has a very descriptive writing style that I was easly able to lose myself in.

All in all, I enjoyed the characters and the plot of the story. Very well written. I loved the fact that this book incorporated a lot of science and history. It made things more interesting.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in YA Science Fiction. It certainly captured my attention.
