The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson
The Girl Who Stopped Swimming

kaydiweeks, January 12, 2010

Jackson's novel isn't really about ghosts...either where she grew up in DeLop or about seeing a couple. It is about memory, perception, misplaced perceptions when anger intervenes, and very much about jealousy. The
jealousy creates violent outcomes, but is borne out of the need for love. The psychological aspects of this author's characters are "right on target." She doesn't miss a beat. I kept nodding my head to affirm, more toward the end of the book than the beginning. These are mysteries of the heart. A great read. I heartily recommend it!
