What can I say about this very emotional book? I loved it, I wanted it to go on for another two hundred pages, I wanted it to end so that these people who were almost real to me, could come to a conclusion, one way or another. I wanted a happy ending, even though I know that a happy ending isn't always possible.
Charles Martin could almost be a heart surgeon himself as he wrote so believably about his subject. I don't want to give the ending away by saying more, so I will just say that the book is about a little girl who needed a heart transplant and the town who rallied around her.
