This is an excellent book if you want to knit a cute sweater for a SMALL dog or puppy... not a big dog. I found the patterns didn't have adequate directions to size them up to my 60-lb Boxer dog. While each pattern did have sizing in 3 size levels (sm,med,lg) they were definitely for the 10-30 lb. varieties. All the dog models in the book, which has wonderful dog photos, are minatures and small breeds or puppies. Beautiful patterns for intermediate to advanced knitters; also some easy ones for beginners.
