Wow, this book gave me goose bumps! It was really eerie and very suspenseful. I don't want to give anything away, but let's just say, you want to read this book in a room with the lights on! And probably not alone! Very good.

This is one of Diane Hoh's early books, and it's obvious here that she's already a terrific writer. The suspense builds throughout the book, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until its final pages. WIthout the gore & gruesomeness of some thrillers, but with all the excitement and suspense, you're sure to get a kick out of "Funhouse".

I liked it MUCH better than Lisey's Story, but not as much as Cell. Definitely more Bachman than King- not really scary, yet still quite suspenseful. I read it in just 2 sittings, because it was very gripping. I liked the back & forth, past & present structure- that really moved the book along, and added to the suspense.

If I could give this more stars, I would. This is my favorite book ever (and that's saying a lot). Romantic without being sappy, enormously suspenseful, and just jolly good fun, it's really an incredible book. And even better- it's a very different book the second time you read it!

What an exciting book! Kept me on the edge of my seat. I've heard a rumor that this might be getting made into a movie. That would be awesome!(5 of 9 readers found this comment helpful)
