This book explains to children why Rosa Parks is still famous. It is not a typical biography. It doesn't talk about her childhood. It is all centered around the events that set off the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the results. Many events are hinted at. If you were doing a report on Rosa Parks or on the boycott, this is not the book for you.
This is a good book for reading aloud. The book is not long. The text really relates to the pictures on that page. The collage pictures are interesting, but tend to a strange yellow hue.
