Reading this book probably saved my relationship. It also gave me great insight into the difference between what I think I need from others and what I truly need. Dr. Chapman shares some very realistic situations to get his points across, and explains the love languages very clearly. It's not necessary to go through the whole class with this book, as I didn't, but it got me interested enough to subscribe to his weekly newsletter.

Even before our baby arrives, we've already picked this one out as the first one we want to read to her. The rhyming and rhythm lend themselves well to engaging a small child, and the sentiment will keep mom and dad enjoying this book over and over.

I'm a minority, and I didn't vote for him. It sounds like the creators of this book are contributing to the rampant liberal indoctrination spreading across our country. Sad that at such a young age these kids are not given opportunities to see the other side of the coin. So what if he "looks like them"? Let's see what he actually does before we start hailing him as the solution to all our problems. As far as I know, HOPE doesn't pay the bills.

This book reads like a Western Noir novel. Bagdon writes in dry, in-your-face, description full of color and wit. The details are so gritty, you can almost feel the dirt between your teeth. Surprisingly, Cal isn't just a gunslinging man's man, he's also a cowboy rode in on horseback straight from a bodice-ripping romance novel.

Trace writes like he's having a conversation with his readers. His style is so natural, I can hear the low, raspy tone of his voice clear as day. Alternating between autobiography and social commentary, it's like sitting on the front porch with a good friend and shooting the breeze. As it turns out, Trace isn't just a great entertainer, he's incredibly informed and fascinating as well.
