Describe your new book: This book is the story of my life the ups, the downs, and the music. If someone were to write your biography, what...

I have only read a few books in less than a week and this is the latest. I was surprised that a romantic novel was produced by James Patterson and found this out when Lifetime made it into a film. The notion of falling in love with your childhood imaginary friend seemed odd to me at first, because mine was a little girl, but since the heroine misses her dad as a very young girl, it's not at all surprising that her imaginary friend is a grown man. Patterson and co-author Gabrielle Charbonnet created a quick, enjoyable read out of, what on the surface seemed to be, a silly concept. Sundays at Tiffany's is written in a way that makes it seem possible and real all-the-while reminding you of a child's delicate self-esteem and the importance of a mother's love.
No spoilers here! You have to actually go to Yellowstone to discover it's unparalleled natural beauty, but this guide book gave us the best view of how to discover our country's first National Park for the first time better than any others we could find. It's not just a guide, but has the right balance of information, photographs, maps, direction and tidbits of information to make it the one you should choose to help you decide where to spend your time in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Speaking of the photographs, Jeff Vanuga did an amazing job of taking clear, colorful, one-of-a-kind pictures for this 1st edition. Also, each photo has the location clearly indicated, some right on the full page photo itself! I researched which guide I wanted my family to use for this travel experience through our county library and THIS is the one I'm going to buy to keep!
I've just finished the second book in the Twilight series, New Moon after my 13 year old (now 14) daughter zipped through the entire series in a matter of weeks. She loved all four books so much that I had to see what all the hub-bub was about. I didn't own New Moon when I finished Twilight and nearly went through withdrawal symptoms not being able to continue the saga immediately! Furthering my frustration, I was out-of-town and could hardly wait to return home to Powell's to buy a copy and start on it.
At first, I was disappointed that Edward's character 'disappeared' and wasn't sure I even wanted to continue reading New Moon, but Stephenie's writing is so intriguing I'm already on to #3, Eclipse.
Don't let the fact that these are written for youth hinder your interest in reading them. Of course, I've always had a 'thing' for vampires, so I think Ms. Meyer has it all figured out!

I found this book totally delightful. The perfect length for that not-often-gotten alone time I need. It reads somewhat like a daytime drama (commonly known as the soap opera) in that there are characters you identify with, characters you want to dislike and somehow can't really, characters that seem very familiar and others you wish you could get to know. Yes, our heroine, Ellen does seem a bit neurotic, but who hasn't wanted to burn their house down out of love and desperation..? Is that why I love the ambiance of candles? ;o)
