Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco

A classic for any lover of reading -- scholarly and thrilling without being overdone. Challenging to get into, but worth it! Highly recommended.

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane

lexoremptor, June 29, 2009

Creative concept, and well-researched, but formulaic at heart and ultimately disappointing. I thought the Connie character could have been developed in greater depth; some of her reactions and choices just didn't seem credible. The explorations of magic would have had a greater impact if the realism of the book was more plausible overall. Look forward to more from this author though!
