Evelina: Or the History of a Young Lady's Entrance Into the World (Penguin Classics)

This is one of my all time favorite books. If you like Jane Austen, you will love Frances Burney's Evelina. Published when she was 26, it has a unique sense of comic integrity and sheds a delicate insight into the inner workings of English society. This one is definitely a page turner if you are into those romantic yet distinguished 18th century novels.
