This is a great story about a Indian living in Eastern Oregon whose ex dies. He has to get his son and bring him home. He tries to teach him the Indian stories and life while remembering his father teaching him the same. It is extremely well written and interesting.

lmelhindi, January 1, 2012

Ann Patchett is the best writer out there today. Using the conventions of the into-the jungle, away from modern civilization theme, she explores medical ethics, friendship, parenthood. All in a simple story that shows the complexity of human nature.
