What a great read! It's nice to see a confident, more experienced Joanna Brady in this book, and Damage Control gives some depth to the personality of hubby, Butch Dixon in the storyline this time. A couple of surprising twists left me worried that the book would end without revealing the answers, and I got that urge to skip to the end to check it out, but I was not disappointed by the turns Jance took and the endings she chose. It's taken a while for me to think of the character of Joanna Brady as lovingly as I do J.P. Beaumont, but this book really sealed my appreciation for her. Enjoy!
Alex Cooper is back. The book is a bit slow at the beginning, but the middle has a moment that catches you totally off guard, as a good Fairstein read will do. Alex is revealing a bit more of what lies beneath her friendship with Mike... is there a real romance coming... we'll see.

I was strictly a non-fiction reader until J.A. Jance. If you haven't given this great author a chance you are missing out. Not only is her character "Beaumont" someone you will delight in getting to know, the author herself is one-of-a-kind, and you will fall in love with her as well.
