When I read Ms Ehrlich's book, The Solace of Open Spaces. I was deeply moved, tearfully touched by her story. Not only is she an expressive writer with a rich word usage but she is also incredibly courageous. Her life journey in the open spaces, her companion dog and being struck by lightening that almost took her life. The long arduous journey back from what the lightening strike did to her heart and her body! She is an amazing woman and a wonderful writer! It is very difficult to feel self -pity when some small piece of life pokes at me after reading her book!
