I found this book disappointing. I was attracted at first by the subject matter, sci fi, the promising summary on the inside jacket, and the good reviews written at the back of the book. Once I started reading, I was impressed by the articulate narrative, a challenge to read, but once far in, I found there was little substance, I gave up. Three quarters in, it just seemed like this incessant ranting that just never stopped, and honestly, I just did not want to hear it anymore. If the author's goal was to take the reader to this place, then he succeeded.
The author presents as smart and articulate but I am not sure he knows what he wants to achieve in this book. Like his character, is his aim only to shock the reader with pornographic images and general negativism? Well, I am not buying it. Next....
