This book was a wonderful retelling of the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. I would recommended this book to anyone who likes a fairy tale touch in their book. It was so good a did a speech on it in class. Please try this book!

The Seeing Stone by K Crossley Holland
The Seeing Stone

The Seeing Stone was one my book group book. Some good things about this book is that the chapters are short so it is easy to read. Some pages are short so you will get through the book pretty fast. With every chapter you learn something about the middle ages that you didn't already know, which may include new words or learn about a new holiday. It is very suspenseful so you will want to read the whole book at once. Many events happen that you would not expect, which will give you the urge to flip the page to see what will happen. Although the book itself was good I don't think it is a good book group book because the author makes sure that what your reading makes sense so nobody really has any questions. Also I didn't like the ending of the book becuase even though it was made to get you read the next book it ended in a very awkward spot.
