This book is not out yet but I am very excited and anxious for it to be released. When I finish reading it I will review it. I've read all of Donald Miller's other books and they are all wonderful. I bet this is the same. He has such a great writing style. The way his writing is so personable but also easy to relate to is pleasing. I am just excited for it to come out and to read what has been happening in his life (including the thoughts in his head) when it does.

Out of the many things that can make up a band dvd, Sigur Rós have decided on the simplest of elements: music, some speech, and landscape. This film is their shows they played in their home in Iceland. They've created an absolutely beautiful film, by the way it was film and edited. The foreign language makes it all more appealing in that the wonder of Iceland is greatly extended. They have simple interviews with the band (in English) and they are shown as humble and as ordinary as any other person out there. They have such beautiful music and to see it live in this film along with breathtaking shots of Iceland it is astounding. There is such beauty to this band and this film, it is something of an amazement to see. It is definitely one of, if the not, the greatest band documentaries I have seen.
When I first read The Orphaned Anything's, I was pulled in after the first chapter. By the fourth I had already had a sense of who the main character, Ayden, fully was. It came across as something I can relate to very well, which I can.
I think this when reading this book, you will get attached to it. It is a book to finish reading the entire thing. I started reading in because I am fan of it's author, Stephen Christian's band, Anberlin. And now I am not just a fan of the musician Stephen Christian, but the author/writer as well. I say, 'writing well done' Stephen, very well done.
If you end up finding this book I recommend you pick it up and start reading and see where it gets you.

I first heard about Paul Maziar when he was at the Denison Witmer concert at Funky Church in November. He was there to support a good friend (Denison) and read some of his book, this book. As I was listening I loved the way he told these stories and I liked the things he said. I loved the way he was writing as well. The small crowd, as well as I, heard from his upcoming book and that was lovely as well. I would've bought the book then but because of lack of funds and buying Denison's CD to get him moving and surviving on tour I had none. But I do recommend this book (though I want this last copy!). I just can't wait to read the entire thing.
