Laini Taylor created a wonderful world with Demons and Angels, and avoided all the annoying cliches. Karou is a strong heroine with an actual personality and all of the characters have life to them.
I was unable to put down this book from the beginning and the writing is beautiful. This book is not just for young adults but for all who enjoy a great book!

Finally a YA dystopian series that the first book doesn't leave us with nothing resolved and a horrible cliffhanger! Lots of action and enough of a love story to make it a book I couldn't put down.
Thank you Veronica Roth for giving us a resolution at the end of the book to not leave us feeling like we only read half a book like some other YAs lately, but still leaving enough so that it's a series I am looking forward to finishing!
A must read for fans of the Hunger Games trilogy!!
I couldn't fathom how she was going to end this series, after everything! She was able to pull it off masterfully and in a believable way. The entire series was based on how cruel human beings can be and even to the end she didn't tie everything off with a pretty bow. We get what would probably happen in the real world, and I appreciated that very much!
