This book is that most remarkable of all reads-a collection of life lessons which are as deep and wise as they are brief. Each of Rachel Remen's chapters about a patient's experience is just 2 to 3 pages long; which makes her brilliant reflections on life SO accessible--both for the average reader as well as for the reader facing a similar life-threatening illness. I'm currently reading this book for the second time, and continue to give it frequently as a gift to friends who are facing their own health challenges. I can't recommend this book highly enough!
