A Delicate Truth by John le Carre
A Delicate Truth

John Le Carre's latest is like a jigsaw puzzle begun in the middle, gradually filling out until you get the whole picture. So it's a bit confusing and slow at first but, like all his books, well-written and rewarding to read.

Fall of Giants by Ken Follett
Fall of Giants

ALMOST as absorbing as "Pillars of the Earth" and, because it's a novel about the 20th century (and Follett is a meticulous researcher), more historically reliable. I can't wait for the second installment - In fact, I got motivated to read more about WWI. Not a bad reaction! Highly recommended.

Not quite as good as Pillars of the Earth but absorbing, interesting and educational.
