I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years and an avid cook for the past 10 years. A lot of vegetarian cookbooks have a lot of the same old stuff. Bishop's cookbook had just what I was looking for. I've switched to seasonal cooking with my family the past year. It's a much healthier alternative knowing you are getting your food locally and in season. Great for the environment too! So, this book outlined a great line-up of seasonal food, clear recipes, and beautiful photos. Bishop shares stories of cooking for his family, and their involvement in community supported agriculture A great cookbook I'd recommend to anyone interested in what seasonal cooking is all about or anyone already eating a seasonal food diet. Enjoy!

I loved this book! Sundaresan does a lovely job bringing her characters to life with beauty and detail. I knew nothing of the history of India and really enjoyed the fictional telling of this story. I highly recommend this enjoyable easy read to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.

I was instantly drawn into the live's of Hickey's characters. The world of Klimt's Vienna was colorful and fascinating. I couldn't put it down! Hickey's first novel shows great talent for historical fiction focusing on the lives of artists. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

I continually consult this book since purchasing it at Powells two years ago. It is a great resource to find natural remedies for a wide variety of health conditions. By using this book I have felt empowered to take charge of my health and I've tried many of the suggestions with success. I would recommend this book to anyone curious about herbal, nutritional and homeopathic treatments.
