Friday Night Lights: A Town, a Team, and a Dream by H G Bissinger
Friday Night Lights: A Town, a Team, and a Dream

mrc6539, May 29, 2008

The book "Friday Night Lights" is a very good book and I think that if you are a football fan then you will love this book as well. The book is about a football team in Odessa, Texas named the Periman Panthers. The nickname of the team is Mojo. The school is one of the top high school football teams in the state of Texas and football means everything in this town. The book is based on the 1988 Periman Panthers and the history of the town Odessa. Also this story is about how the town of Odessa got to have one of the best football programs in the country. The story is about the team, their stuggles on and off the field, and how the town dreams of being the best football team, and having the dreams of getting the state title in football. In the end the team looses the state title, but the dreams of having the best football team are still in their town. This book is exciting and I believe that if love football than you got to read this book.
