This is not the best movie in the world, but is pretty on par for a romantic comedy. Actually, it's probably better than a lot of the crappy American romantic comedies in theaters today (a la Kate Hudson/Matthew Mcconaughey). If you're in the mood for something light and fluffy, this is definitely your movie. The acting was pretty good and the story doesn't drag. I actually don't remember much about the movie, except that it wasn't bad.
If you don't like reading your movies, though, you might want to learn Italian and Danish first.

I thought this movie was just about perfect. A little too PG-13, but oh well. Shia Leboeuf was great. It really made me want to see more movies w/him in it.
I was extremely worried about this movie. So many classics from my youth have been remade horribly, and Michael Bay is, well Michael Bay. Not my favorite director. But the story was good, w/just enough cheese to counteract the seriousness of it all. Optimus had the same voice actor. It was all good. We saw it twice in theaters, once in a regular theater, once in IMAX.
Seriously, if you don't already own this, why not?

so, i started rereading the series a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of the movie and this book. what i noticed as i read was that the first couple of books bring in to play many things that are pivotal to the plot throughout the later books. heck, sirius is mentioned in the first couple of pages of book one.
this took quite a lot of planning. this book was good. maybe not the best of the lot, but certainly a good way to finish. i need to reread the last few chapters again as i was pretty sleepy by that point and there are a few things that were unclear to me when i woke up this morning.
if you haven't yet started reading this book and you haven't read the other books in a while, i highly recommend rereading the first 6. i only got to book 4 before i purchased my copy of the deathly hallows and had forgotten information from books 5 & 6 that harry guys would bring up w/out much background context.
what really made the story move along in the deathly hallows was that rowling finally stopped reintroducing things and explaining things to death. though this was also a flaw at times when i couldn't quite remember certain things.
anyway, if you like harry potter, you'll be reading this book. hope you enjoy it. i know i did.
