I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb
I Know This Much Is True

neicybee, January 21, 2009

Aaahh...the creme de la creme! I LOVE this book! I finished reading its' almost 900 pages continuously one weekend and I have never stopped buying a copy of it every time I see it to pass on to friends, relatives, or random folks that ask me if I've read any good books lately! I want everyone to read it! Sad, frustrating, funny and sweet with an ending that is worthy of the story. Truely an engrossing read worth every page!

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb
She's Come Undone

neicybee, January 21, 2009

I give Wally Lamb books as gifts because I love his stories. They can be sad at times, "She's Come Undone" is no exception. There were times I wanted to give up on Delores - "She" - but I am so glad I didn't. Finding out she did not give up on herself was rewarding and genuine in a way that makes Mr Lamb's books so satisfying to read.

To Kill a Mockingbird: The 40th Anniversary Edition of the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Novel by Harper Lee
To Kill a Mockingbird: The 40th Anniversary Edition of the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Novel

neicybee, December 17, 2007

Hands down, the best book I have ever read. I did not have to read it in school - our teachers were so imaginative with "Lord of the Flies" (yuk). The language and characters opened my head, they were so alive and real! I did not want it to ever end!!
