In the Land of Invented Languages: Esperanto Rock Stars, Klingon Poets, Loglan Lovers, and the Mad Dreamers Who Tried to Build a Perfect Language

The book is very good for those who want to know about the history of planned languages. I have have some difficulty with the comparison between Esperanto and Klingon (mostly in interviews and reviews of the book). One language was meant to be easy (Esperanto) and one was meant to be difficult (Klingon). One was meant to be scarey and make money (Klingon) and one was meant to produce international dialogue, often against materialism (Esperanto) and in favor of peace (Esperanto). I personally have used Esperanto with thousands of individuals, citizens of dozens of countries, for the above purposes.
