This is another great novel by Sharon Kay Penman. It's the first in the Welsh Princes Trilogy, set in 13th century Wales. It's the story of Llewelyn the Great and his fight to keep Wales free of England and King John, King of England. It's also a love story between Llewelyn and Joanna. It's a great read and it's difficult to tell where history leaves off and fiction picks up.
This is a novel of a Richard III you have not seen before. This is probably one of my favorite books. Sharon Kay Penman is a wonderful author who does extensive research.
I really love Sharon Penman's writing. This is the first book in a wonderful trilogy of 13th century Wales. I personally consider her one of the finest authors of historical fiction. Her research is extensive.
