This is an extraordinarily useful cookbook. The recipes are well diagrammed and are not so elaborate that you can't experiment with them.
I've prepared about half the recipes here, but have a dozen or so that I keep going back to over and over again. The biscotti recipes are very amenable to experimentation, as are the various fruitcake recipes.
We have two copies of this cookbook now; one that sits on the shelf and the other which sits, in several pieces, in the kitchen (it's about 15 years old and has been in heavy rotation, and paperback books don't really like to be wedged open under flour containers for that long.)
