Then Came You by Jennifer Weiner
Then Came You

This novel explores reproductive technology from the perspective of an egg donor, a surrogate, an older trophy wife and her step-daugter. I laughed, I cried and I enjoyed chick lit that engaged interesting questions with humanity and empathy (though limited realism).

I want to be Aud Torvigen when I grow up! A former police lieutenant, Torvigen moves between the sophistication of her upbrining and the violence of her impulses. This fast-paced mystery satisfies my inner action-movie fan while also providing a compelling heroine and glimpses into Scandinavian culture.

The Boondocks follows 10 yr old Huey Freeman, a disgruntled black miliant as me moves through his new homogenous 'burb. Insightful and sanity-preserving hilarity!

The Gun Seller

The man who plays Dr. House is not only an actor and a musician, he's also a pretty good writer! This pulpy thriller keeps you on your feet and engaged up until the end. An ideal beach read!

Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu

I love this book! These photographs of miniatures in urban settings are charming and disturbing, by turns and simultaneously. Too small to qualify as a coffee table book but these pictures make me smile.
