Deathwatch (Laurel Leaf Books) by Robb White
Deathwatch (Laurel Leaf Books)

"Deathatch" by Robb White is a great book. Its full of action and cool twist that change the whole plot. The author of this book was so discriptive that I could picture myself in the character's shoes. Madec, the villian in this story is a criminal master mind, as when Ben (main character) is just trying to survive. I suggest this book for everyone, but it might be hard to understand for younger kids. This book has many themes but the main one that sticks out to me is honor, because of what happens in the end.

The Hunger Games (Hunger Games #01) by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games (Hunger Games #01)

Imagine you just had your name pulled by lottery over thousands of people. Usually this means you have won something and you should be happy, but not in this case. Instead you basically just had your name pulled to die in The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games, By Suzanne Collins is a breath taking novel about a girl in District 12. She is just a poor citizen that works hard to take care of her family- until an unfortunate thing happens that changes her life forever. I absolutely LOVED this book from the very beginning to the end. Author, Suzanne Collins, is known for her precise detail and enthusiastic writing, and she displays this and more in this book. Just reading this book got me "worked up". I suggest this book to teens/ preteens because it has some violent battles and gore in it.

The Book of Three (Chronicles of Prydain #1) by Lloyd Alexander
The Book of Three (Chronicles of Prydain #1)

A great hero beloved by all. You risk your life everyday but it all pays off in the end. Everyone knows, respects, and wants to be just like you- now wake up! This is the life of Taran of Caer Dallben before a great change happens to him. "The Book of Three" by Lloyd Alexander, in my eyes, is a great book because it has a great blend of different types of fantasy, but is believable. Aside from all the mystical creatures and magic of course. I think this book takes place in the middle ages because it paints a great picture of what life was like back then. This book was written with such such detail on the feelings that as I was reading I felt like I shared the same mid as the main character. The main theme is courage because the characters risk their life for others so often. I recommend this book for everyone of all ages that love to feel a great thrill while reading a book.
