Few books capture so well the hypocrisy, pointlessness, intensity, and joy that is the high school experience. This book brings it all back and then some. The combination of Trope's breathtaking, poetic, language and the sheer truth of the emotions and situations she describes puts this one in a class by itself. Oh, and did I mention she wrote it when she was fourteen?!!
