I think that this book makes an excellent companion to the video and hopefully DVD of this/these conference(s)/symposium(s). Rather than having to buy all of the authors books, I think that this book, focusing on Orwell's essay and it's relevance to today's critical presidential campaign, make it enormously valuable for promoting the progressive cause.
I watched the footage of the event at the New York Public Library and I highly recommend doing that. I caught the re-broadcast of it on C-Span.
