The Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem can be called "ambitious" but i call it just plain perverted. No offense but I don't want to know about two young boys giving each other hand jobs and talking about having oral sex. Even if all the the sexual content was taken out then you would still have the profaine language which is not necissary. To go one step further if you take out the profaine language you are left with confusing writting and way too many metaphors and alliterations. If you were to take out everything bad in the book you would be left with the front cover.
