This book does not fall into my catagory of what
Stephen Cannell would write. Maybe as a script for
a new show. I have read that this is the book he
always wanted to write, I don't see why. It reads
like he took something from every show script
he's written and combined it all in one book. By
far not one of his best.

I have met a few transgenders. Some fully converted,
( thats my term ) some that don't know what they want,
and others that just seem mental. This book does
open a window that most never see. These are real
life people, not play actors going for the oscar. If you
really want to see thier souls, read this book!

I enjoyed reading this ! I realize teens think of
puberty as turning into some kind of strange creature,
just hopefully not like these teenagers ! This is going
to be a series, hopefully they see it as a good start
for a movie. Although the bio's of the charactors
could have included more about family and what home
life was like, right before winding up in the so-called
group home, would have helped. I was left wandering
what was going on with the dead people in the crawl
space. The ending was as if someone had cut the book
in half, just left you hanging until the next book.
Overall I did like it and will wait for the rest of the story.

I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Palahniuk is
really bored with writing good books. Most of what I
read sounds impossible, inflated and entirely the work of fiction from a overly made-up old woman. I would
suppose giving the men numbers is easier than trying to remember names. Unless, you call them all John.
I wonder if the IRS read this book?
