Anthem by Ayn Rand
Anthem

puckwrx, October 21, 2008

Anthem is an excellent choice for the utopian/dystopian reader! In this short read, Rand analizes the idea of being ONE among so many. The imbedded idea in each person of being like so many, even exactly like everyone else holds true even today! Everyone having read, (or ready to read for the first time) Orwell's 1984 should read Anthem. We live in a world of fear. Fear of government, fear of question, and even fear of who each and everyone of us can be or should become... an individual! Beyond that, we catch a glimpse of the original work of Rand that eventually became the release in the US... which is pretty neat!
