If even an uptight suburban mom can relate to most of these stories, then something is seriously right with this book. I am regularly brought to tears - either laughing or crying - as I have lurked badnewshughes for the past three years. Make no mistake, I AM a nurse and do have a strong stomach, but once you've been warned that there is some potty talk, open your mind and enjoy the ride. I find myself wanting to simultaneously adopt and smother him with hugs, or else spank him and send him to his room. What a gift he has shared with the rest of us to hold up a big mirror to the frail and magnificent human race. And laugh.
