Diary of Indignities by Patrick Hughes
Diary of Indignities

rachelreck, June 21, 2007

If even an uptight suburban mom can relate to most of these stories, then something is seriously right with this book. I am regularly brought to tears - either laughing or crying - as I have lurked badnewshughes for the past three years. Make no mistake, I AM a nurse and do have a strong stomach, but once you've been warned that there is some potty talk, open your mind and enjoy the ride. I find myself wanting to simultaneously adopt and smother him with hugs, or else spank him and send him to his room. What a gift he has shared with the rest of us to hold up a big mirror to the frail and magnificent human race. And laugh.
