I was given this book as a gift and fell in love with the picture on the jacket. What an amazing story I had never been aware of! I grew to love not only the story but the syle in which it was written and I have continued to read Anya Seton based on my experience with this book. Be aware - she uses traditional language for the time and encorporates french as well as latin into the text - which could be frustrating. I didn't want the story to end and have enjoyed reading about related times in her other historical novels.
