The Catcher in the Rye by J D Salinger
The Catcher in the Rye

I can understand why others might have liked this novel. I understand that it started a whole new style of writing. However, I found it dull and highly predictable. I could not like any of the characters or be drawn into the main characters story, I just didn't care what happened to him. A sign of a good book in my opinion is one that can get the reader to care about a character no matter if it is hate or like.

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
Slaughterhouse-Five

One of my favorite books by him it is also one of the bloodier ones in my opinion. Though most of his novels are adult this one is the most creepiest because of the characters.I have read it twice and after the first read I didn't need to read it again because it is so wholly unique that it is hard to forget anything.

Avon True Romance

I loved this book. This is like most romances, with a storyline that has been done a thousand times. However this one went above and beyond because it hooks the reader in Samantha's story and makes you want her to succeed no matter the odds.
