Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up to Me by Richard Farina
Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up to Me

searly, January 23, 2008

It has been a long time since I read this book and therefore the fact that I remember that it introduced me to Thanatos and the story of the humongous turd that is saved in a baggie on the mantle of the frat house makes me feel, after 40 years, that it might be worth revisiting.
Also memorable is the false story that Richard died falling off the back of Bob Dylans motorcycle.
If I remember correctly he was married to Joan Baezs' sister and he had a great folk album called Celebration for a Grey Day
